As finals approach, student stress increases

Students pack into Duquesne University's Gumberg Library on Wednesday to take advantage of a reading day, which is a designated day for studying before final examinations officially start Thursday. According to Marie Hirsch, a nurse practitioner at the University's Health Services, the number of sick students who visit Health Services remains constant around finals, but the number of stress-related illnesses increases.

Business dean appointed for another three years

Duquesne University reappointed Alan R. Miciak for an additional three years as dean of the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business, the University announced last Friday.

A timeline of the spring semester

Duquesne's athletic teams had some of their best seasons in recent memory this spring. The women's basketball team reached 20 wins for the first time in program history, while the men's basketball team had its best season in more then 30 years. Despite a 0-4 start, the lacrosse team was able to rebound to finish 9-8, despite missing the Atlantic 10 Tournament.
