Fans of the show The Walking Dead get dressed up as Zombies for the Zombie Walk in the West End Village Saturday. The event celebrated World Zombie Day, which is the international zombie memorial day that takes place on the second Saturday of October annually. The first World Zombie Day was held in Pittsburgh in 2006. It took place at Monroeville Mall, the setting for George Romero’s Dawn of the Dead.
