Corbett plans to cut higher education funding
Gov. Tom Corbett's proposed $27.3 billion state budget would reduce state appropriation to Pennsylvania's public universities for the second consecutive year, this time by an addition 20 to 30 percent if passed by the state's legislature.

Dougherty spoke about the University's financial standing Monday afternoon to an audience of about 600 faculty and staff members in the Power Center ballroom during the first town hall meeting of the year.
