Police briefs

Apparently a whole lot of ruckus comes along with hosting the WPIAL basketball championships.

Two vehicles were broken into during Saturday's high school basketball championships at the A.J. Palumbo Center. In one car, a laptop was stolen, while camera equipment was pilfered from the other. Duquesne police are investigating both thefts.

Who would've thought high school sports could bring people to act immaturely?

One incident on this week's log involved a student being removed from the Off Ramp because of drunken behavior Tuesday night. The student was escorted back to their dorm in St. Martin's.

This goes to prove that while high school students are immature, college students can give them a run for their money.

All in all, it was not a horrible week. It would probably be a good idea for Duquesne visitors and students to invest in The Club or a fancy car alarm during next year's WPIAL playoffs.
