  • Cros-Check Cros-Check: Unique NBA season worth watching

It's no secret that the NBA isn't Pittsburgh's favorite league. But the Association has produced something it hasn't had in years, which could pull in even the most defiant Pittsburgh sports fan: underdogs.

Hailing from Holland, Kadeem Pantophlet was sold on Duquesne's program early when coach RonEverhart recruited him at Canarias Basketball Academy in Spain last year.

"[Coach Everhart] said they shoot a lot of threes and that's kind of my thing," Pantophlet said.

Dukes use six players in 2nd half to topple UMass

It was the perfect opportunity to squander a lead, something the men's basketball team has had their troubles with this season. But this time it was different.

The Duquesne men's basketball team (10-6, 1-1) used a second half surge against St. Bonaventure (8-6, 1-1) to secure its first Atlantic 10 win of the season 66-52 at the A.JPalumbo Center Saturday evening.
